We've been listening for months and years to our leftist friends telling us that President Bush destroyed the goodwill that nations around the world had for the United States. We've also been assured that President Obama will improve perceptions of the United States around the world and, in fact, that he already has.
Well now we have some evidence of what direction those perceptions are being taken.
On another board I frequent one of the posters recently returned from a business trip to Beijing. While he was there he got a feel for how the president is being perceived. The photographic evidence of some of those perceptions is shown below.
Suffice to say that while it remains a rhetorical crime of the highest magnitude to mention here that the president might lean just a wee bit socialist, the Chinese seem to be quite able to perceive it..... and quite capable of celebrating it.
My question to the leftists everywhere...... was this what you had in mind concerning the perceptions you want the world to have of America?
