We went for a ride on my birthday on Easter Sunday and drove to Rowe Mesa, which is about 20 miles east of where we live near the town of Pecos, New Mexico,
The summit of the mesa is at 8,048 feet and from the top you can see broad expanses of the Pecos Valley and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the north.
It was a rare cloudy day for New Mexico, and there were isolated showers all over the northern part of the state. The peaks were getting a new covering of fresh snow.
