Has anyone here had cataract surgery?
Looks like I can't wait any longer to have the cataract on my right eye removed.
I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until I had an eye exam yesterday and I couldn't even read the eye chart with my right eye alone ..... but with both eyes my vision was 20/20. Doc says the left eye is doing a remarkable job compensating.
But he could not even clearly see the interior of my eye because the cataract is making things too blurry to visualize well.
SO....time for the surgery. I am opting to have it done in April, so I can have my post-op visits before we move to New Mexico. And I want my current opthomologist (whom I have gone to for years) to do the surgery rather than someone new in Santa Fe.
Have any of you had the surgery? My doctor says it is relatively minor and simple and without complications ... AND he can do an additional procedure to correct the astigmatism and I will have almost perfect vision in my right eye which will not change in time....and will make future glasses cheaper.
Tell me having someone stick a needle in your eye is not all that bad!!!!
