It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So .. ten days till Christmas.

How is everyone handling all the stress? :D

For the first year in my memory, I have promised myself I will have a stress free Christmas ... and I mean it. So far it is all falling into place nicely.

This is my last Christmas in Kansas, and I want to enjoy it.

Shopping. Packages. Christmas cards. So far nothing is in the mail. The cards are addressed and stamped, pictures labeled, the family letter written, but I need to get them all sealed up and ready to go.

I should have mailed my packages to New York and Oregon and Georgia already.....but they are not even wrapped yet. It will get done. :D

We went to get our tree last weekend. Mr. Tow and I are PERFECTIONISTS about our Christmas trees, but it was a FREEZING cold icy day, and all the trees were still bundled up and frozen so the branches would not open up. We said "Heck with it", grabbed a tree and brought it home. That was COMPLETELY out of character for us. When Mr. Tow got the tree set up in the garage, it opened up ... and it is PERFECT. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to worry about this stuff.

Christmas music. In packing for our move, "someone" (I'm blaming the other guy) packed up all of our Christmas CDs. So I had to go out and buy some. I do believe they are the nicest CDs of Christmas music I have ever bought.

Baking. I started in November; every few days I bake another recipe and leave a little bit out to eat, and put the rest in the freezer, all labeled. We will have enough cookies and rolls and breads, etc. to last us all winter. Yesterday I made my Mom's old recipe for carrot bars. yummm...

Last night we went to the dressy festive Christmas party that Mr. Tow's company throws. It was at Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City in a beautifully decorated ballroom and it was wonderful. Actually fun to get all dressed up, and I was not stressing about how much had to get done at home. They went all out and all the food was incredible, especially the desserts. We had a lovely time.

It snowed overnight and it is supposed to snow all day. It looks very Christmasy here. Tonight we will put up our perfect tree.

I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful Christmas too, with your favorite traditions.
