Eternal and Creator

E-mail Print PDF

Trying to understand the nature of God is rather like my laptop trying to understand the hundreds of thousands of people throughout history whose work culminated in a Dell Inspiron 1000, only infinitely more complicated. For example, God is eternal. Sometimes I think creeds obscure the meaning of this through too tightly formulated wording.

God isn't subject to time, because He created time. The moment of creation is as real to God as the moment of Jesus's second coming. God created. Not only is God not limited by time, but God is not limited by the laws of the universe He created. God is not part of that universe, nor is He subject to it.
