The Mao Who Would Be God

Jesus emptied Himself to take on the form of man for the purpose of bringing salvation to mankind.

Mao ruthlessly pursued power in the Chinese Communist Party, China, and the world, starving, slaughtering, and purging all Mao perceived as being obstacles to his personality cult and his becoming, personally, the dominant world power.

Jesus chose disciples for the sake of imparting his teachings to men who would begin the spread of His message and salvation to the whole world.

Mao created alliances of convenience with men whom he believed could bring or secure power for Mao. Allies were used, played against each other, and betrayed, to the greater glory of Mao.

Jesus boldly faced death, knowing that in so doing, He was redeeming all who would believe in Him.

Mao died of ALS, ignorant of the cause, preceded in death by all the colleagues he betrayed, consumed with disappointment and self-pity at the ultimate failure of his ambitions and the impending dismantling of much of his "accomplishments".

Jesus rose to life, triumphant over death, Satan, and sin.

Mao is dead, not having cared what happened after his death.

Jesus's disciples turned the world upside down, His followers standing firm to this day against all assaults.

Mao's successors dismantled much of what Mao "accomplished", while retaining Mao as an empty symbolic icon.
