In normal times, the Democrats' scandal-dependent strategy of regaining power through attacks on President Bush would be rather amusing. Time after time, their imagined Kryptonite bullets have turned into excrement boomerangs that splattered President Bush's attackers. Our times are not ordinary: we are at war.
Aside from the amusement of seeing the Democrats befouling themselves (Kongressional Keystone Kops), what they are doing harms the US. Our troops do not need the Democrats' assault on their morale and mission. Our troops do not need the Democrats continually giving our enemies the hope that if they persist a little longer, our troops will abandon their mission. Another way Congressional Democrats are harming the US is that they are devoting so much time and energy to their partisan efforts to bring down President Bush that little is left for what they are supposed to be doing - working for the good of the country. The US needs their ideas, time, and energy, especially while the country is at war. US taxpayers, who pay their salaries for them to work for the good of the country, are being defrauded.
