The Annoyed Army

These are among the very first pictures taken with my new DSLR camera, a Nikon D3100, at Founders' Plaza on the north edge of DFW Airport. There is a nice little park there with picnic tables, rentable telescopes, and a loudspeaker on a pole that lets you listen in on the conversations between the tower and the various aircraft coming and going. Most of the pictures were taken using a 55-200mm shake stabilized zoom lens, letting the camera do the focusing and aperture adjustments automatically.
